Health and wellbeing

When children feel safe, happy and engaged, they are receptive to learning and able to develop skills for lifelong optimal functioning. Therefore, children’s wellbeing is a core goal driving educators’ priorities. Ensuring our own strong sense of health and happiness as early childhood educators is also important; teaching and caring for young children every day uses so much of our own social and emotional reserves.  Find resources here that can help support the health and wellbeing of children in your care, their parents, carers and educators.

Leadership and management

Leaders inspire, empower and create visions collectively to develop their teams as individuals. These leadership resources, some specifically focused on leadership within early childhood education and care, will help refresh and expand leadership skills that will benefit you and your team.

Pedagogy and curriculum

Find resources across a number of different pedagogical practices and curriculum areas, including music and movement, creative arts, science, technology, mathematics, language and literacy and play-based learning.

Planning, documentation and research

Good documentation and planning support practice and holistically represent the child and what they’re doing and learning. Explore our range of resources on documentation, planning and research.

Rights, advocacy and inclusion

Rights, advocacy and inclusion for children are an essential part of early childhood education and care. Find resources to support these concepts in the early childhood context, including our popular Code of Ethics range, as well as resources on the Anti-bias approach, children’s rights and supporting inclusion.

Reconciliation

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have been and continue to be impacted by colonisation. Reconciliation in early childhood education and care is vital. Every child has the right to be informed about what it means to live on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Country. This collection of resources has been curated to identify action areas regarding how early childhood professionals can continue to move forward by addressing racism and inequality.
