Through play, children explore the world around them, develop essential life skills, and build a foundation for lifelong learning. ECA’s play resources are fundamental to enriching these experiences and supporting you in celebrating the joy of learning through play.

This Statement considers play and young children aged from birth to eight years. The right to play, however, extends to every child of any age, ability or background and is relevant in schools and other learning environments, services, and communities in which children participate. Early Learning Matters Week aims to raise awareness and understanding of the importance of early learning in shaping the development and wellbeing of children and highlights the significant role that early learning plays in laying the foundation for future success. It emphasises the value of quality early childhood education and care and brings the early childhood educators, parents, caregivers, and community leaders together to celebrate and advocate for high-quality early learning, fostering a sense of unity and collaboration in promoting the well-being of children and communities.
