Playing IT Safe was developed by the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, the Australian Federal Police and the Office of the eSafety Commissioner. With support from Telstra, the Alannah & Madeline Foundation are now delivering this Community of Practice to early childhood professionals across Australia. This Community of Practice is an early learning initiative which offers a suite of play-based activities that early childhood educators can use to teach young children about technologies, digital networks and online safety.

Playing IT Safe was developed by the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, the Australian Federal Police and the Office of the eSafety Commissioner. What a Community of Practice includes

The Community of Practice includes the facilitation of three one-hour live sessions over three months. This design provides participants with the opportunity to regularly come together to reflect on the Playing IT Safe tools and resources provided by facilitators in the first session. These sessions create space for participants to evaluate their current practice, identifying how the Playing IT Safe tools and resources have supported children’s learning about the digital world in their own early learning service.
