In this issue of Every Child, we asked ministers and leaders in the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector to voice their gratitude to Australia’s educators and teachers. Over four pages, they acknowledge the hardship the COVID-19 pandemic placed on the sector and how grateful they are for the hard work and dedication shown by many to adjust to the crisis.

Be You presents a detailed article about taking care of yourself and others during the pandemic, and how to understand stress and the window of tolerance. An article by Queensland University of Technology Senior Lecturer Judith Howard provides advice on how to help young children understand the pandemic and its impacts; and Early Child Australia details its advocacy during this challenging year.
