This learning resource aims to enhance the knowledge and confidence of educators in managing their family day care business. It has been developed as a result of feedback Family Day Care Australia has received from educators that managing the business side of their family day care can be a little challenging at times, especially when they are first starting out.

The vast majority of family day care educators are engaged by services as independent contractors rather than employees, which means they are effectively self-employed. This resource is designed primarily with these educators in mind.
