Description
This Research in Practice Series has adapted Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems theory to provide a framework to view:
- celebrations from differing perspectives
- the interrelationships between perspectives
- the implications of choices made or not made about celebrations.
Real-life case studies provided in the book highlight how some teachers and educators made choices for celebration and what the outcomes of these were for key stakeholders. Educators will be able to use the strategies provided in the book to develop an action plan to explore celebrations that may be meaningful for children, families and the community.
